Latasha Ngwube’s #AboutThatCurvyLife collective set to make history again at Glitz Africa Fashion Week 2017

In 2016, Latasha Ngwube’s Aboutthatcurvylife.com (ATCL) made history at Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week, (http://edition.cnn.com/style/gallery/about-that-curvy-life/index.html) as the #ATCL Collective presented plus-size models that stormed the runway rocking clothes from five designers showcasing plus-size collections in a defiant celebration of all things curvy.

 And now, ATCL is about to make history again at Glitz Africa Fashion Week 2017, which is taking place in Accra, Ghana from October 5th – October 8th. The ATCL Collective will be presenting three Nigerian brands - one menswear and two womenswear. This will be the first ever inclusion of plus-size fashion apparel in the history of Glitz Africa Fashion Week.
 The designers curated for the Aboutthatcurvylife Collective include: Abaya Lagos by Salihat (womenswear), Nori Clothing (womenswear) and Assian (menswear).
 Each of these brands have carved a unique niche for themselves as true body positive champions that understand the need for fashion and style at all sizes. It was on this basis that Aboutthatcurvylife.com’s founder, Latasha Ngwube chose them. They in turn have communicated their enthusiasm for the opportunity to showcase their brands at Glitz Africa Fashion Week 2017.
 The ATCL Collective is showing on Saturday the 7th of October at Glitz Africa Fashion Week’s runway in Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra, Ghana.
We are also pleased to announce the first ever ATCL Collective ambassadors, Anita Matey (Ghanaian NY-based plus size fashion blogger,  women’s advocate, and creator of Foreign Curves blog) and AJ Sarpong (Ghanaian Media personality).
 We chose these two individuals because they share similar goals with us - using our platforms to spread messages of body positivity through creative  forms of expression.

 Anita, who will be leading the ATCL Collective online campaign for the duration of the event says, “I am so thrilled to know that Aboutthatcurvylife collective is going to be a part of Glitz Fashion week.
 It’s historic for me to even be able to witness this while in Brooklyn, that plus size women, plus size fashion is now being recognized and taken seriously in the African fashion industry. AJ will not only serve as an ambassador, she will also be one of the models on the runway during the ATCL Collective showcase. Growing up at the age of 15-16, I remember asking God that when I get older & start dating, my first boyfriend should not only be my first and last boyfriend but also he should be a man after Gods heart so he knows how to love & respect me dearly! Not knowing God really did listen to my prayers. 7 years ago Kunle and I met in church & although we were too young to make marital decisions, we just knew we were meant for each other!!! Delta State Celebrates “The Power of Unity”

 

Asaba, the capital of Delta state will play host to top-notch artistes, comedians, from the 25 local governments of the state and many visitors of the Delta unity concert. The Delta unity concert tagged ‘THE POWER OF ONENESS’ is the result of a collaborative effort of the body of Delta Entertainers and will be held at the prestigious Dome Event Center, Asaba, Delta State.

This concert seeks to bridge the gaps in Delta state, multi-tribal state, while emphasizing the spirit of unity amongst all. The leadership of the Delta Entertainers recognises the power of music, culture and entertainment to foster greater lives, harmony and cooperation amongst its people for the purpose of making Delta state a peaceful and economically viable state.

Delta state is once again leading the way as it has always done, in creating a counter narrative to the various divisive voices seeking to create disunity and disaffection in various parts of the country by highlighting our oneness as a people. To this extent, “The Power of Oneness” concert is a timely intervention capable of snowballing into a call to Nigerians as whole, to embrace our uniqueness, similarities and shared history and aspirations.

As part of the former Bendel state, fondly referred to as mini-Nigeria, Delta state still retains its original character of having various tribes that have co-existed, inter-marry and collaborate in so many spheres of life. This underscores the need to showcase this oneness through music and comedy.

Ibe Kachikwu Keeps Mum After Meeting With Buhari

The meeting between Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, and President Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja has ended. The meeting began around 11:33am and lasted for about 1hr and 20mins. Kachikwu after the meeting declined to speak with state house correspondents who accosted him.
He was at the statehouse to meet with President Buhari over the petition he wrote against the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Maikanti Baru. Kachikwu in the petition dated August 30th, accused Baru of insubordination as well as awarding a $25 billion contract without due process.

Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike seems to have found love again following his recent divorce from his estranged wife and mother of his four children, Suzanne Emma Rero.
The actor has been sharing beautiful and loved-up photos of himself with a curvy lady who has been identified as a 28-year old South African.

Earlier last month, the beautiful lady accompanied the actor to Germany where he received an award for excellence in Frankfurt.

lol. See the hilarious way this woman dealt with a scammer who promised her love and sex then requested she pays for his flight to the UK

For years, scammers have been taking advantage of their victims' trust and gullibility to swindle them on millions but in a turn of events, a scammer met his match when he tried it with a particular woman resident in the UK.
The man, who goes by Anil on Facebook, started a conversation with the woman in her Facebook inbox, telling her that he loves her and will give her "hot sex". He then went on to claim he needed to be with her badly but needs money for his flight ticket from her. He asked for $500 but, luckily, the woman, who goes by the Facebook alias Fellatia McSuckle, was wiser and ended up dealing with the scammer.
The chat between the woman and the scammer has gone viral after it was shared online. In the chat, not only did she intentionally pronounce his name as Anal but she also made him call himself that and asked him to do some cringe-worthy things in order for her to send the money - which she never sent.
