Breaking News!! No More Condoms? Scientists Finally Find a Cure for HIV!

For years, people were wondering when can they stop wearing condoms while having s*x with their partners, well it looks like the time is right around the corner.

It seems the long awaited cure for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) – a lentivirus that causes HIV infection and over time acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, AIDS, has been invented by scientists.

For years, people were wondering WHEN CAN THEY REMOVE THEIR CONDOMS . . . well it looks like it’s right around the corner.

Scientists have for the FIRST TIME EVER – proved that they can CURE HIV. Yesterday scientists CONFIRMED that they were able to edit out HIV-1 DNA from the genome of human immune cells, preventing virus replication and reinfection of the cleared cells.

In layman’s language, they used GENE THERAPY to cure HIV in HUMAN cells.

Dr. Kamel Khalili, director of the Comprehensive NeuroAIDS Center at Temple University claims that they are ready to put his new gene therapy into a new drug that will cure HIV in patients even after they stop taking the drugs.

“The findings are important on multiple levels. They demonstrate the effectiveness of our gene editing system in eliminating HIV from the DNA of CD4 T-cells and, by introducing mutations into the viral genome, permanently inactivating its replication. Further, they show that the system can protect cells from reinfection and that the technology is safe for the cells, with no toxic effects,” Khalili said in a press release.

Portugal and Belgium friendly match to be played in Portugal after Brussels terror attacks

Portugal's football association has offered to host it's friendly football match with Belgium in Portugal after the deadly terrorist attack in Belgium ensured the Belgian FA canceled the match initially meant to be played in Brussels, Belgium. The Belgian FA announced on Wednesday that the game had been cancelled after a request from the City of Brussels.

The clash was due to take place next Tuesday on March 29 at the King Baudouin Stadium but was cancelled for security reasons.

However it was later confirmed a proposal has been made by the Portuguese Football Federation to host the fixture on the same date, which has been accepted.

NIGERIAN MUM JAILED 19 MONTHS FOR TAKING WEEKLY TRIP FROM LONDON TO CLAIM BENEFITS IN IRELAND

The Criminal Courts of Justice on Parkgate Street, near the Phoenix Park, some 45 minutes from Dún Laoghaire.

An Irish National of Nigerian origin, Adeyinka Okin, mother of five, who travelled weekly from London to Waterford, Ireland to claim over ‎€5, 300 in social welfare payments, was blasted by a judge for her actions; including leaving her council house in the city idle in the midst of a homeless crisis; Waterford News & Star reports.

Adeyinka Okin of 34, The Close, Kill St Laurence, Waterford, pleaded guilty to 20 count charge of theft relating to social welfare payments.

”It could have been used by those who needed accommodation. What she did was dishonest to the extreme. she deprived other families in need of accommodation she vacated.” Judge Alice Doyle said at Waterford Circuit Appeal Court.

Detective Garda Kevin Hefferman narrated how Customs in the UK became suspicious when Okin travelled total of 17 weekly-14 hour-return journeys from Victoria Station London to Waterford with an empty suitcase.

The trip began on August 7, 2015 until November 27, 2015, the day of her arrest.

Okin was receiving Supplementary welfare Allowance of €335 at Ballytruckle Post Office. The total amount owed the Department was ‎€5, 360.

The Police said Okin was shocked when she was arrested but very co-operative. She pleaded guilty to all charges but later lodged an appeal.

State Solicitor said Okin was handed down a total of 19 months in prison at Waterford District Court.

The Judge allowed appeal in full provided the bail money of €6, 400 was used to pay back what she owed the State.

Yesterday, Comedian AY Makun took to his Instagram page to share photos of artistes performing at his upcoming show, AY Live: 10 years on stage. He shared a photo of comedienne and OAP, Helen Paul, who was listed as one of the comic acts for the show and that was when the IG user decided to ‘attack.’
The Instagram user took to the comment section to state that Helen should stick to radio because she felt the Jara presenter wasn’t funny.
Moments later, Helen clapped back at the ‘hater’, asking her to kindly leave the venue when she is performing. She also told her to ask AY why he decided to include her in his show.

Caroline Danjuma’s Alleged Rival, Mya Hassan Welcomes Daughter

Sources close to the Danjuma family said that Caroline Danjuma had moved out of her matrimonial home after she learned of her husband’s new escapades with Mya, but the actress stepped out for her movie premiere with her husband. Later, Caroline Danjuma posted about forgiveness and how she is not ready to burn bridges.

Last night, singing group Mumazee, twins themselves, took to their Instagram page to write Peter and Paul Okoye of P-Square a message.
Though P-Square yesterday reconciled their issues, Mumazee’s message extends beyond this as they reminded their counterparts about what it means to be ‘twins.’

“They fail to see the big picture, that this fight is not about who is right or wrong, nor about who is better or worse, or who is Peter or Paul but about Psquare,” Mumazeee writes, adding, “their love for each other, their twinship, their oneness as twin with the same umbilical cord, their faith, their hope, their immediate family, and finally their case and problem as a case study to judge all twins.”

For the Okoye brothers, they seem to be on the path of recovery. Yesterday, Peter Okoye was forced to lash out at a fan who thought to win him over by insulting Jude Okoye. “Watch your mouth, bro,” Peter told that fan, adding, “get the fuck out!”

VL: Hello Namia Roberts
Hi, thanks for having me
VL: Who is Namia Roberts?
I am a 19years student, model and actress, I was born and raised in Nigeria along side 3 siblings. I’m currently rounding up my university education in London. And I like to describe myself as an all round entertainer.
VL: How did you discover your talent and what inspired you?
Everything came naturally to me. For modelling, i have always loved taking pictures and posing since I can remember, growing up my relatives used to call me model as a nick name. I remember always watching the delta soap advert and praying I could do that one day. So when I was 13 I took a trip to New York with my family and everyone kept telling me I should be a model, that I have the body for it and it was great because it was coming from total strangers, I even had a woman ask me to model for her but my mum declined. And that was what fuelled my passion for modelling.

VL: And Acting?
Acting was quite similar, I used to force my sister to play drama with me as a child. I always watched Genevieve and Oge Okoye movies growing up and even though I didn’t understand the concept of acting fully, or that you even got paid for it, I knew I wanted to do that.
VL: What have you been up to?
Right now, I’m working on my website, I am about to relaunch it. And I am also shooting a couple of films, my first film project so I’m very excited!
VL: As a model what where the major challenges you faced when you started and how did your overcome those challenges?
Uhm, I am really shy! So when I first started modelling I was really shy infront of the camera and my pictures never looked natural, you could tell I was forcing it. So I had to work on that. Also finding the right agency was a hassle for me because I’m very picky and since I didn’t have any guidance I wanted to make sure I was picking the best agency that would represent me properly in the long run.

VL How did the breakthrough come?
I have been modelling professional since 2012, but I got my big break in 2015, after I modelled for a London based stylist. The pictures went…viral? would I say? and my phone hasn’t stopped ringing ever since. For acting I don’t think I’ve had my break through yet.
VL: Tell us something that the media doesn’t know about you up until now?
I am introvert. I’d rather stay home and read a book or watch TV than go out any day.
VL: What is your ideal definition of fashion?
To me fashion is a way to express yourself with clothes. A persons style can tell you a lot about them before you even speak to them.
VL: List Your favourite fashion designers
My favourite designer of all time is Louis Vuitton because it’s simply timeless. I also love Alice and Olivia, Oscar De La Renta, Hermes, Victoria Beckham, Salvatore Ferragamo and kurt Geiger.
VL: Who is your fashion icon?
Coco Chanel and myself
VL: How would you describe your personal style?
I have a very preppy and classy style. I am very girly so heels and bags are my favourite accessories.
VL: What is your philosophy towards life?
My philosophy towards life is you have to fall seven times to get up eight times. I believe whatever is yours will always be yours and whatever isn’t will never be yours. And the harder you work the luckier you get, so no matter what life throws at you, you should always keep your head up and never give up.
VL: Who are the kind of people that influences you?
I am influenced by young go getters like myself. I love when people push through boundaries and succeed. I don’t believe in being satisfied with what people think you should be satisfied with. I mean who says the sky is the limit when they are foot prints on the moon right?
VL: How do you make your daily decisions?
First, I pray. And I have learnt to always follow my heart. I listen to people’s criticism and opinions but I always make sure I’m making my decisions based on what I want and what’s best for me.

VL: How do you manage to stay focus in achieving your goals?
I always try to remember why I started doing this in the first place, which is because I love it and it makes me happy. So I never want to lose sight of this happiness. Also I know what I can achieve if I stay focused on my goals, and I don’t want to mess my future up for any reason.
VL: What are your future plans?
First, I plan to finish school and then go into acting full time. I also plan to have my film production company and to help build the Nollywood industry, because Nollywood is where it all began for me and I hope to be able to inspire some little girl to chase her dreams the way it inspired me to chase mine.
VL: Final Note
