“I Am Proud Of The Fact That Nigeria Is Not As Corrupt As It Used To Be” – Daddy Freeze.

freeze
On Air Personality, Daddy Freeze, has wade in on the current economic crisis in the country and is also asking a quite interesting question.
He posted the photo above and wrote:
“I thought corruption was the worst thing a nation can endure, until I saw the suffering and poverty my people are going through. A month ago, a keg of vegetable oil was N4,200, one week later it rose to N4,800. Yesterday I sent my maid to the market with 5k and she returned home empty handed, oil is now N5,500.

If you see the small ram we killed for ileya, it was nothing compared to the humongous one we ate during the ‘corrupt’ regime.
I know the government is trying to fix Nigeria, and there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but what about those that will die of hunger and lack, inside the tunnel, never to reach the light?
Everything is going up and salaries are coming down, companies are shutting down and with the airlines folding up, transportation is becoming crazy. I look around me and all I see is suffering and hunger. Yes I am proud of the fact that Nigeria is not as corrupt as it used to be, but is this ‘famine’ the progress we are seeking? Is it really better than the corruption we did away with? What do you guys think?”

Girl in Viral Ghana Porn Music Video Speaks: “I am not bothered, It’s my job”

girly
The beautiful lady in the centre of the sexually explicit and pure ‘adult content’ ‘Awurama’ music video from up-and-coming musician, Lord Paper, has been identified as Vonita Pearl Nana Yaa Darko, daughter of the chief executive of Jah Link Entertainment, Nana Kofi Darko, and also a former student of Prince Boateng Senior High School.
The music video captured Nana Yaa and Lord Paper completely naked and making love, but the two have told the media they were only acting though persons who have seen the video have described it as pornography and even alleged that the two were actually having real sex.
The video has become a sensation on social media and gone viral as well as generated a heated controversy but Nana Yaa, the lady in the centre of the discussion has told the media she is not bothered about name calling and accusations being levelled at her.
“I’m not bothered at all: you know why I don’t care about it; because people would even judge you when they don’t know you. People who really know me know that it was work that I was doing and nothing in it was real. So whatever someone else says, it does not make me and it does not break me. I am still who I am and I am still Nana Yaa,” she told Kwesi Aboagye on Peace FM Entertainment Review on Saturday.
Lord Paper also told the station that though the video appears as porn, they were only acting and that he never penetrated Nana Yaa at any point of the entire production.
NEWS-ONE reproduces a transcript of what Nana Yaa told Kwesi Aboagye:
How come you agreed to shoot such a video?
I do not really see anything huge about the video. It was just like any other music video that I have shot. I just accepted [to play the role]. When he approached me, I was like cool, I would do it.
Is this your first time shooting a music video?
No. I have done a couple of videos with Tic-Tac and a few others.
Some say it is a porn video and a big deal.
It is not porn at all. People are speaking about it that it is porn. They watch porn and they should be honest with themselves that there is a huge difference. I do not blame them though, they weren’t on set when we were shooting so someone could just stand somewhere and say something and get away with it because they do not know about it. But, I am not bothered because they were not around. Right now, it is like the whole world against one person. I don’t have to explain myself to every single person.
So you are not bothered?
No. I am not because nothing out there was real. It was all acted. As I said before, it was all work. That’s all.
Did you get wet?
No.
You were being caressed and fondled by a man and you did not get wet?
The whole concept of the video was meant to make you think like that. So people are actually getting the concept of the video. But it was actually not sex. People are thinking it was pornography but there is a huge difference between pornography and what is out there.
With pornography, they are acting sex and they are really having sex and whatever thing that goes on in there is real. But with my video that I did, I acted it out but whatever that happened was not real. Whichever way people want to see it, I don’t care.
Have your parents watched it?
Yes, they have.
What was their response?
What my parents said about the video? I am sorry, but I can’t disclose family matters.

Lord Paper said his mother was unhappy about it. How did your parents take it?
As I said before, I can’t disclose family issues. Maybe, he is comfortable to open up his family issues in public but I am not. So any other question, I would answer it but not family issues.
So your parents have seen it and they are praising you that you have done a good job.
They do not have to praise me. I am not a minor and any decision that I make is mine and affects my life. Despite the negative comments that people are giving, they are mine and they are going to live with me forever. I thought about all these before making the video so I do not see why it should affect me now.
So you would live with the negative comments and you don’t care much about it in some 20 or 10 years to come?
Not at all: you know why I don’t care about it; because people would even judge you when they don’t know you. People who really know me know that it was work that I was doing and nothing in it was real. So whatever someone else says, it does not make me and it does not break me. I am still who I am and I am still Nana Yaa
Do you attend church?
Once in a while, when I get the time to, I do. But this is not supposed to be an excuse for not going to church. I go to church once in a while, I do.
Have your Church members seen the video?
Hopefully, they have. This video has gone viral than I thought it would. And if they see it, they are in Church. The Church has many responsibilities. You don’t sit somewhere and judge someone by what you see. So I am not bothered in the first place because people who are judging me do not know me.
Who is Nana Yaa?
I am just one open-minded person that I do things I am okay with and criticisms do not break me. That’s me.
What’s the name of your pastor?
I am sorry, but I am not mentioning it.
Speculations say you were not paid well enough for the role you played and that you did it for the fame it would bring you.
Wow. I was already famous before this thing came out. This is not about fame and that is what they are getting wrong. You see, most people want to do what you are doing but they do not have the balls and guts to do it and that’s why they are criticising. They are just two-faced people. Too many hypocrites around and too many haters around.
It was a job I did. No one works for free but the amount of money that I got paid, I can’t disclose it but it was a job I did and I got paid. No one would work for free.
Well, okay, they are working for free because they are wasting their time and talking about something they do not know and no one is paying them. They are not using their time to make money so trust me I am not bothered. It is not about the fame though because trust me, people already know me. I am that lively person. And I am very open and very lively so people already know me.
There is a thin line between what you did and pornography. Can you act porn?
I do not shoot pornography. People are saying there is a thin line. Similarity is not the same as something. Something can be similar to another thing but it does not mean they are the same. I shoot music videos I do not shoot pornography. Simple like that….You could give me the whole world I am not shooting porn.
Why can’t you shoot porn?
My policy is against it. I don’t have any reason for it but you have to understand that people have choices and that is the choice I have made. I don’t have to give a reason for the choice.
People give pornography a bad name. Is that why you don’t want to shoot porn?
No, no no. Not at all. I care less about what people think. That’s the least of my worries. Society frown on porn and that I am aware. But, it is not my reason for saying I not shooting porn. Porn is not me. People have their reasons for doing porn and I do not judge them. They have their reasons, they know what they are going through and they know what they gain from it. It is about making your life peaceful and whether negative or positive, no one has the right to judge you. It is only whoever created you that has the right to judge you. Basically, that’s it.
Do you shoot music videos for a living?
Shooting music video is part of my job and I can only answer questions related to this particular music video. I am sorry. Nothing more.
We leave it here Nana Yaa, thanks very much for our time.
Thank you.

The devastated billionaire is now suing Zaiachkivska for breaking their prenuptial agreement and allegedly stealing £5,000 and a mobile phone from his home, Mirror reports.
He wrote in a comment on the social media pictures:
“Your Husband in Milan And Parents say thank You for Be in New York with address Of

“He came to get me, and I gave him a second chance, but during an argument he spat in my face, and I simply could not take it.”
Furious Cervara hit back telling reporters that his wife is working as a model in New York and she is “not the person she is pretending to be”.

Patience Jonathan Says $15m In Her Accounts Are For Medical Bills.

Patience_jonathan
Dame Patience Jonathan, the wife of former President Goodluck Jonathan, has said she was using her $15m, which was frozen in four companies’ accounts, to settle medical bills while she was out of the country.
She, therefore, urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and Skye Bank to lift the restriction on the accounts.
Patience said this in a letter with reference number GA/Abibo/00226/2016, written by her lawyers, Granville Abibo (SAN) and Co, which was addressed to the Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu.
The PUNCH had reported that the four accounts belonged to the following companies: Pluto Property and Investment Company Limited, Seagate Property Development and Investment Company Limited, Trans Ocean Property and Investment Company Limited and Globus Integrated Service Limited.
A houseboy, a driver and other domestic workers of a former Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs to Jonathan, Waripamowei Dudafa, were named as directors, but Patience’s $15m was lodged in the accounts and she was given a platinum card and exclusive access to the accounts.
The letter read in part,
“It is noteworthy to emphasise that the said accounts, which were in US dollar denomination, were card-based accounts and our client is the sole signatory to these accounts.
“However, our client has been operating the said accounts using the cards for her medical bill payments and purchases for her private purposes without any let or hindrance.
“Our client was therefore surprised when the said cards stop functioning on July 7, 2016, or thereabout. Our client immediately, thereupon, contacted Skye Bank Plc through our solicitors.
‘‘It was only then that the bank officials informed our client that the said accounts were placed on a ‘No Debit Order’ following investigations and instruction from your commission and this is without notice to our client by either the bank or the commission.
“It is in the light of the foregoing that we urge you to use your good offices to vacate the ‘No Debit/Freezing Order’ placed on the said accounts.”
Patience, who described herself as a law-abiding citizen, said despite all the explanations she offered to the Lagos Zonal Office of the EFCC, the detectives in charge refused to heed her request.
She, therefore, urged Magu to intervene immediately.
She added:
“Despite the foregoing, our client, who is a law-abiding citizen, has watched with surprise how efforts are being made surreptitiously to indirectly harass or harangue her and short-change her of her personal funds in breach of her fundamental human rights.

“We urge you sir, to kindly intervene to stop the untoward and wrongful actions of your officials to embarrass, inconvenience and short-change our client.”
However, a detective in the EFCC said,
“We got a relevant court order to freeze those accounts and we have evidence which we will present in court on Friday.
“We did not know that the accounts belonged to Patience Jonathan at the time we froze them. The accounts do not bear her name neither do they carry her BVN (Bank Verification Number). So, how can she accuse us of harassment?
“She has a separate account in Skye Bank with the title ‘Patience Jonathan’, which has a balance of $5m. If she claims she needs money for medical treatment, then the $5m should be alright.”
In a thanksgiving service held at the State House chapel in Abuja on February 18, 2013, Patience had said she underwent seven surgical operations within one month in Germany, adding that the doctors had given up hope on her survival.
She had stated,
“I remember when Chief Obasanjo was the President of the country, I was close to his late wife, Stella. We worshiped together in this chapel. It was a painful moment for me that time when she (Stella) died and her corpse was brought here.
“That was how my corpse would have been brought here.
‘‘It was not an easy experience for me. I actually died, I passed out for more than a week. My intestine and tummy were opened.
“I am not Lazarus but my experience was similar to his. My doctors said all hope was lost.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said the Federal Government, under President Muhammadu Buhari, is not persecuting Jonathan and his wife, Patience.
Speaking in an interview with journalists in Oro, Kwara State, on Tuesday, Mohammed said it would be wrong to submit that the Federal Government was probing Jonathan or Patience.
He said:
“If you look at the history of Mrs. Patience Jonathan’s issue, I think she was the one that came out to claim that the money found in the accounts of one of the aides to the former President, her husband, belonged to her.
“It was not the EFCC that claimed so. She claimed that the money that the guy was being prosecuted for belonged to her. It was only then they later found an extra $5m in another account.
“It is not as if anybody has gone out to probe Mrs. Jonathan directly or indirectly. Rather Mrs. Jonathan was the one that said ‘that money for which you are accusing Mr. X actually belongs to me. So, you cannot start talking of prosecution or persecution.”
The minister said the Federal Government was concerned about the current national economic recession and had initiated measures to address it.
He stated that the current campaign of the Federal Government, ‘‘Change begins with me,’’ was not only for the people but also for the leaders.
Mohammed also said it was incorrect to accuse Buhari’s government of being partisan, selective and vindictive in its anti-corruption war.
He said Buhari would also not spare any APC member accused or guilty of corruption.

EARTH TREMOR IN NIGERIA: WHAT IF IT IS THE SIGN OF AN IMPENDING MASSIVE EARTHQUAKE?

For so long we have been told or made to believe that Nigeria is far out of reach of the seismic region. To so many of us we may never have witnessed an earth tremor (a small earthquake of low intensity resulting from underground movement along a fault plane from volcanic activity). Except for imaginary Hollywood blockbuster movies which may readily come to our sub-consciousness, I doubt if any one will ever wish to feel the devastating impact of an earthquake.

Recently the make believe syndrome of a safe-haven Nigeria devoid of seismic waves has been blown away by the wind of reality. Persistent earth tremors in Nigeria in recent times have come to stay. All appropriate agencies of the three tiers of government must be ready to face the unforeseen earthquake phenomenon in no too distant future. The national president (Building Collapse Prevention Guild), Kunle Awobodu few months ago revealed that through a geophysical and geological study, a fault zone that connects with the Atlantic fracture exists along Ifewara in Osun state and Zungeru in Niger state.  Could this be the reasons why areas such as Saki and neighboring towns in Oyo state, some communities which comprises of akenfa, akinma, igbogene in Bayelsa state and Ikara L.G.A in Kaduna state have been witnessing tremor in recent times.? It has been widely reported via various print media that another earth tremor struck Koi town in Jaba local government area of Kaduna state on 11th September, 2016, though no life was lost. Isn’t this enough reason to stir appropriate organs of government to carry out research and investigation on Awobodu’s assertion?

The report of Dr.Adepelumi.A.Abraham, a geologist in the department of geology of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife titled “PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT OF EARTH TREMOR OCCURRENCE IN SHAKI AREA, SHAKI WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN OYO STATE” dated 9th June, 2016 addressed to the Speaker of the green chamber by the member representing Saki-West/Saki-East and Atisbi LGA of Oyo state. Has it been thoroughly examined by the national assembly for necessary implementation or thrown into the dust bin as a matter of no significant importance? It is noteworthy that Abraham’s assertion in his report of a possible earthquake before 2020 with a risk of 91.1percent is a revelation which must put us as Nigerians at the edge of our seat.

How equipped is the Centre for geodesy and geodynamics (CGG) situated in Toro, Nigeria and in coordination with the 4 seismographic network stations located in Kaduna, Nsukka, Ile-Ife and Awka ? Reports have it that the 4 network stations are equipped with a 24-bit-4channel recorders and broadband 30-seconds seismometers. The salient question that needs answer is if a seismographic station exists in Kaduna state with modern facilities, why couldn’t officials of the network station be able to inform the citizens of Kaduna state and its environs of an impending tremor? Same for seismographic network station in Ile-Ife which could not detect the warning signs of tremor in Saki, Oyo state. Earth tremor don’t just occur, there would have been movement and vibration underground for so long.

The need for collaboration between the National Earthquake Information Centre (NEIC) located in Colorado, USA and Centre for Geodesy and Geodynamics (CGG) with the 4 operational seismographic stations in Nigeria is important for real time updates. One of the primary duties of NEIC is to determine as rapidly and as accurately as possible, the location, size of all significant earthquakes that occurs worldwide, it also disseminates this information immediately to concerned national and international agencies. Early detection is crucial as it will be the saving grace if there is a massive earthquake to prepare us to reduce the loss to the barest minimum possible. Again if the Nigerian government is not satisfied with the research and report of Dr.Abraham on Saki’s earth tremor, it could be submitted to NEIC which also serves as a National data center and archive for earthquake information where further research could be conducted. In all appropriate policies would be recommended to the Nigerian government for implementation.

How prepared is our emergency relief agencies if peradventure Nigeria is hit by an earthquake which I pray God forbids? What will be the average response time? How will the necessary personnel cope during such daunting responsibilities? What orientation do we have as Nigerians concerning earth tremor and earthquake? There are so many questions begging to be answered. In all superintending organs of government should be prepared by simulating earthquake like situations to train those who needs to be trained. Finally I am not a prophet of doom but a patriotic Nigerian worried about the ever changing course of nature. No one will have ever imagined that terrorism and kidnapping will be the order of the day in Nigeria 30 years ago but today it is an ugly menace we were never prepared for. GOD BLESS NIGERIAN MY COUNTRY.
