Woman Drugs Her Own Fiance and Escapes with His N295million

A lady Victoria Alaegbu, has been exposed for using charms on her fiancé, Prince Hillary Unachukwu and later running away with his $1.5million (N295.5 million).
Vitoria was said to have administered a “noxious” substance on Prince Hillary last December in Ikoyi, Lagos. The substance knocked him out between 8pm and midnight and gave her enough time to steal his money and she went ahead to lock the Prince inside his house.
Prince Hillary woke up when the charm wore off and shouted for help.
Victoria has been arrested by the police. She was arraigned on Wednesday at an Igbosere Magistrates Court in Lagos on a 5-count charge of conspiracy, attempt to kill, stealing, unlawful detention, etc.
Prosecutor, Sergeant Nicholas Akpene said she locked the Prince up inside his apartment with a padlock.

Victoria also had a SIM card with number 07087773669, which was not registered in her name.
The non-registration of her SIM card was with intent to commit fraud. She denied the charges.
Magistrate S. K. Matepo granted Victoria bail in N5million with two sureties in the like sum.
She ordered that the sureties must swear to an affidavit of means and show evidence of tax payment. One of the sureties must be her relation. The case was adjourned till February 10 for trial.
Prince Hillary said he could not believe his eyes that a lady he wanted to marry to could do such to him.

Everybody knows that Korede Bello is a student at Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) and It is no longer news that a lecturer had threatened to resign if the Mavin Records fast-rising act, is allowed to write the forthcoming examinations after failing to meet up with the compulsory 70% class attendance set by the school.
But what is news is that after the music act was informed of his ineligibility to take the exams he allegedly went to meet with top officials of the school to find a way out, using his star status as a leverage but it seems he has hit a stonewall as the lecturer on his case is hell-bent on making good his threats.

Iron Mike Sharpe, A WWE Legend Is Dead

“Iron” Mike Sharpe, has passed away at age 64, WWE reports.
Sharpe’s father and uncle were a successful tag team in the 1950s, recognized as champions from San Francisco to Japan.

The source reports that he joined the WWE in January 1983 and managed by WWE Hall of Famer Captain Lou Albano, Sharpe used the mysterious (and often loaded) black brace on his right forearm to defeat opponent after opponent while simultaneously berating them.

Actress Juliet Ibrahim Talks Relationship With Ex-Husband And Other Men In Her Life

Actress Juliet Ibrahim was a guest on a TV show on Sunday, January 17 and she talked about her career and how she used to be a runway model. She also touched on the ‘beef’ in the Nigerian movie industry as well as her former marriage, saying both parties decided to move on after some time.
Fast forward to ten years and she says she used to be an usher at events, a model and pretty much involved in TV commercials.
The Ghanaian actress disclosed that acting came into the mix for her after she won a beauty pageant. She then went for an audition following the advice of a friend in 2007, a period the Ghanaian movie industry was beginning to pick up, and everything changed from there.
Ibrahim said she got a major role from her first audition which landed her an appearance in the movie Crime To Christ.

She revealed she never planned to become an actress but instead a music star. She said she used to be shy and still is, but she admitted she could be anybody she wants to be while on screen.
She also talked about speaking multiple languages given she went to school and studied Spanish.

The 30 Days In Atlanta star also talked about her sister, Sonia Ibrahim, who is a fast-rising actress and how well she is doing in the movie industry.

Bobby Shmurda Denied Bail for the Seventh Time (Photos)

21 year old Bobby Shmurda has been in jail since December 2014 for conspiracy to commit a murder.
He was back in court yesterday Jan. 19 and a Manhattan judge denied a request to lower or remove the rapper’s $2 million bail. This is the seventh time Shmurda and his lawyer Alex Spiro have appeared before a judge and failed to get his bail reduced.
According to reports from DNAinfo New York and TMZ, Spiro argued that the $2 million bail was set way too high and is based on a preconceived notion that the Brooklyn rapper is worth millions. A 2014 tax return from Sony revealed that he is worth $427,000.

Man kills his ex-girlfriend's 7-month old child by flinging her against the ceiling and jumping on her

7-month-old Inganathi Mnyani died after her mother's ex-boyfriend, Zukile Nakupi, allegedly flung her against the ceiling, walls and prepaid electricity meter of her mother's Philippi home on Monday, January 25, killing her. (Photo: Family members carry her body from the mortuary to the family’s house in Philippi, Cape Town on Tuesday for burial) 

Andisiwe and ex-boyfriend, Nakupi allegedly started arguing after she woke up to feed the baby in the early hours of the morning. He reportedly jumped on Inganathi's body, despite attempts from her seven-year-old sister to protect her. The infant died at the scene.

Nakupi was on the run for four days before his arrest. He made his first appearance in the Athlone Magistrate's Court on a murder charge on Monday. The State indicated it would oppose bail.

As Nakupi descended the stairs to the court’s holding cells, he turned to the gallery and asked: "Are you finished?". Members of the public shook their heads at him in disgust.

Mourners at the funeral, many of whom were seated in the street outside the family's home, described the accused as "disgusting for hurting a little baby".

Eritrea government orders men to marry at least 2 wives or go to jail

— Eritrean men have been allegedly ordered to marry more than one wife
— Any man who does not do so, goes to jail according to reports
The government of Eritrea has reportedly ordered men in the country to marry at least two wives. This is said to be coming in order to ‘help’ the situation of shortage of men caused by enormous casualties suffered during the civil war with Ethiopia.

In the statement written in Arabic the government gave the assurance that it will give financial support to the polygamous marriages. Read the translated version in part as posted by sde.co.ke below:
“Based on the law of God in polygamy, and given the circumstances in which the country is experiencing in terms of men shortage, the Eritrean department of religious affairs has decided on the following :
”First that every man shall marry at least two women and the man who refuses to do so shall be subjected to life imprisonment with hard labour.
“The woman who tries to prevent her husband from marrying another wife shall be punished to life imprisonment,” alleged the activists in their translation.

Dangerous Driving: Appeal Court Reserves Judgement On Ibinabo Fiberesima

The Lagos state Court of Appeal has reserved judgement in the appeal filed by actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima-Egbuka, challenging the judgement of a Lagos High Court which sentenced her to five years imprisonment for the death of one Dr. Giwa Suraj.
Ibinabo was sentenced to five years imprisonment by Justice Deborah Oluwayemi of a Lagos state High Court for reckless driving which caused the death of Dr. Giwa Suraj in a car accident along the Lekki-Epe expressway, Lagos on February 26th 2006. Dissatisfied by the ruling of the High court, Ibinabo filed an appeal through her counsel, challenging the decision of the Lagos state high court to quash a N100, 000 fine without prison time, given to her by an Igbosere High Court. Not satisfied by the judgement of the Magistrate court, the Lagos state government then approached the High Court who quashed the verdict of the Magistrate court and sentenced Ibinabo to 5 years imprisonment. Ibinabo then appealed the judgement of the High court.
At the hearing of the appeal today January 28th, the appellate court presided over by Justice Ndukwe-Anyanwu, reserved judgement in the appeal after counsel adopted their written addresses. The court directed that Ibinabo who was not in court, should be present when judgement is to be delivered, adding that the date of judgment would be communicated to the parties.
