Lovers Only, No Kids Allowed!

30 lovers, one venue and lots of incentives! Things got seriously heated up at the Vitafoam Comfort Centre, Ikoyi Branch on Valentines Day, Sunday the 14th, 2016. Vitafoam Nigeria, the country’s leading foam manufacturer was out to spice things up for 30 lovers treating them to delicious foods and drinks, engaging couples games, loads of gifts and surprises!

Love was certainly in the air for the couples as they had the opportunity to relive the romance of courtship and early love. This brought out the tender side of some of the men, who professed their love for their wives afresh in touching and creative ways.

There were passionate renditions from love notes, poems and in some cases spontaneous outpourings of love. There was laughter all round, especially during the knowledge game, where couples were tested on how much they knew their partners and spouses. Some answers were on point, while some were way off the mark.

A tour of the comfort centre helped the guests familiarizethemselves with many Vitafoam products they did not know existed, which gave the brand team the opportunity to explain the different products and their uses.

The excitement continued with lucky dips, with some lucky couples going away with fabulous gifts and Vitafoam products. A luxurious pampering session for the couples was another highpoint of the day, with makeovers for both men and women.

Many of the guests expressed how much they enjoyed themselves, especially as the Vitafoam brand helped them rekindle their love and passion for each other on this special day.

The day ended with the guests leaving with special gift packs, Vitafoam products, newly formed connections and relationships and most especially rekindled love.

Sunday Oliseh tells Mikel Obi: Play defensive midfield for Super Eagles or drop to the bench

Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has warned John Mikel Obi that he risks losing his Super Eagles playing spot if he refuses playing as a defensive midfielder for Nigeria. Mikel Obi has had a resurgence this season while playing as a defensive midfielder at Chelsea but opts to play offensive midfield when donning colours of the Super Eagles, a trend Oliseh wants to end.

Defensive midfield was also the same role Mikel played when he broke out internationally under coach Samson Siasia at the 2005 FIFA U20 World Cup in the Netherlands.

“With the national team, it’s not what you want that matters, it is what will bring us results,”said Oliseh in a radio interview. “If you don’t want to do that, I will play players who want to help us, like I did against Swaziland. My personal opinion is that he should be given a more central defensive role, like (Guus) Hiddink is using him. He should be the umbrella for the two central defenders,” Oliseh said.

'A man has to “Test out the car first!' Tyrese explains why he won't marry a celibate woman

The 37 year old singer and actor says that he can’t marry a woman until he knows what he's getting in the bedroom. He revealed this on "The Doctors" recently when the subject of waiting for marriage before sex came up.

Tyrese slammed the ideology and claims it just can’t work in a society of high divorce rates:
“It’s enough people getting married and filing for divorce. There’s enough people out here saying, ‘I’m a born again virgin. I’ve had sex before, but I’m just going to hold back.”
“I don’t know, I’m still trying to figure it out. I’m not going to have sex, I’m not going to touch you because it’s biblical.
“However, I would say, I’m not willing to potentially marry bad sex. If I have one car to test drive, you gotta jump in and do a couple turns. Put in reverse, back up. I’m not marrying bad sex!”
“I believe that God’s correction is for your protection. He’s not saying don’t have s*x so he can hold something from you. There are STDs out there. And think about it. If you’re a woman, would you give a man a key to your apartment on the first date?

New PDP Chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff, will work for APC- Kano state governor

Kano state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje says the newly- National Chairman of PDP, Ali Modu Sheriff, will work for the APC going by his “antecedents”. Ganduje said this while addressing newsmen in Abuja today February 18th. He dismissed the threat made by the PDP Chairman in Abia yesterday that the PDP will regain control of Aso Rock in 2019

“I do not wish to engage in cross fire. But I believe it is an empty threat. Looking at the antecedents, the history of the chairman himself, we all know he is a cross carpeter. He is always on the move in changing from one party to the other. “Even when he was in the All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) for eight years, he was working for the PDP. Even the APC started with him, and then he went back to the PDP and we were happy. I am sure in the long run, he would work for us. That is what I believe. We are happy because we believe in the long run, he would work for us. Find out his history, you will believe me.”

Promising Nollywood Actress Hannah Ogundare Commits Suicide

One might conclude Hannah Ogundare’s maturity, following her epileptic stagger from Double ‘A’ Entertainment to Moving Train Entertainment, from a rookie to one of Nollywood’s emerging gems as a bold assertion to Victor Hugo’s believe that all the forces in the world are not so powerful as an idea whose time has come.

She has starred in several Nollywood films since her induction into the industry. As an actress, movies she has appeared in include; Dr. Romilayo, Fijagbemi, Jayinfa, Ibere Ese, Okunkun and not limited to MTE's comedy skits aired on TV stations nationwide. Recently, Hannah joined the long list of female producers.

On the fifth day of the year twenty-sixteen, the shooting of Hannah’s short films, Trending, Tabletop Romance and Share the Rizla, Share the Booze, directed by Ayuba Sodunke, began in Abeokuta, Ogun State and MTE Blog was there from start to finish.

During the shoot, our Nollywood correspondent, ‘Dayo Farore, asked the emerging act some vital questions and here are what she had to say.

Dayo Farore: Please tell us about Hannah Ogundare

My names are Hannah Oluwatosin Ogundare aka Hannie, but my guy calls me his "Maltina baby", because he thinks I laugh like a Maltina child *laughs*.

I am 5.9ft, chocolate as you can see and I can be very friendly and polite.

I was born in the early 80s into a family of seven in which I am the second to the last child.

Dayo Farore:    Educational background?

I attended Ahmad Memorial Primary School, Imola Comprehensive College and Houdegbe North American University where I bagged a BSc. in Economics. But I have intention to further my studies up to Post Graduate level God willing.

Dayo Farore:     What’s your state of origin?

Ekiti State.

Dayo Farore:     What other languages do you speak besides Yoruba?

I speak a bit of Franch one of the many benefits I garnered while studying at the Bilingual University, but of course after being schooled the art of cooking by course mates *laughs*. I also speak Igbo language besides the curse words which seem the basics people often learn about strange languages and then Hausa. And of course Urhobo, a very romantic language which is necessitated by my man who before now likes to intimidate me with it.

Dayo Farore:      Are you in any serious relationship?

I'm in a very serious relationship with the one my heart desire.

Dayo Farore:     Do you do anything beside acting?

Yes. I run the House of Hannie, a high-street fashion wholesaler and retailer headquartered on Lagos mainland.

Dayo Farore:     If I am in the mood for giveaways, what will you do with N2Million if I
                            give it you?

Give me the money first, then I'll show you what I'll do with it when the project is kick-started, but except if you are a potential investor or willing to pay me for consultancy. *laughs*.

Dayo Farore:      Where do you see yourself in five years?

Hmm! That's an interesting question. In the next five years, I see myself as one of Nollywood's top female producers who invests in educative and yet entertaining movies and then also a great wife and mom.

Dayo Farore:      How did the journey into acting begin?

Afeez Abiodun aka Owo was the first person I met in the industry, but Junior U. Gabriel of Moving Train Entertainment was the one that further groom me on acting.

Dayo Farore:      How was the experience at Double A Entertainment?

I was there for years but it was tough combining  studies with Rehearsals twice a week but I give God all the Glory. I finished well and has a certificate of my own from the School of Drama.

Dayo Farore:      And has life being with Moving Train Entertainment?

I've been totally blessed ever since I met my new family (MTE). Sincerely, if not for God and Moving Train Entertainment, I would not be where I am today.

Dayo Farore:      How did your family receive your decision to become an actress?

My older sis loves acting and introduced me to Afeez Owo, but at first, my mum was against it, because it's a general belief that actresses do not like to settle down. My dad is a kind of man that supports and encourages us in every good decisions we make as adults. But I'm glad I've my family supports 100%.

Dayo Farore:      How did you feel when you won the 2015 Egba Youth Awards for the
                             Best Upcoming Actress?

Oh, my God!!! I was overwhelmed, because it was my first award in the industry. Though I wasn't present on the award night, my family at MTE received it on my behalf. For me, it was a conviction that hard work truly pays in time.

Below are the loglines of the short films:
