Rapper, Olamide recounts the most embarrassing moment of his life

Nigerian superstar singer, Olamide, has revealed the most humiliating incident that left him feeling both furious and embarrassed.

In a recent interview, Olamide disclosed that before the success of his song “Eniduro,” he had to endure humiliation at the hands of a senior colleague who sent him to get food.

According to The Nation, Baddo said it happened when he was working with his supervisor and director, ID Cabasa, many years ago.

In his words;

“I was in the studio when this senior artist came in to record a song, and he said he was hungry. Who else will he send to buy food if not me, who was the youngest in the studio? The money he gave me was not enough for his meal, so I decided to add my own money. I even used my money to pay for transportation. When I got back to the studio with the food, guess what this guy said to me?
Cabasa, tell this your boy to give me my change. If he wants money, he should tell me, and I will give it to him. He should not use a trick to steal my money. I almost got angry, but one look from ID Cabasa calmed me down. Today, the guy is one of my biggest fans, and he is planning to do a song with me.”

OGD Advocates for more Women Empowerment in the Digital world.

 OGD Advocates for more Women Empowerment in the Digital world.

As we celebrate International Women's Day on 8th March, 2023 with the theme  "DigitALL: innovation and technology for Gender Equality ". We must recognize the importance of innovation and technology in promoting gender equality. Women have been traditionally underrepresented in the tech industry, and there is a pressing need to bridge this gap.

Innovation and technology have the potential to transform the world and create opportunities for women to participate in the digital economy. Through the use of technology, women can access new job opportunities, connect with each other and the world, and gain financial independence.

However, the digital divide remains a significant barrier for many women, particularly those in developing countries. Access to technology and digital literacy skills is essential for women to participate in the digital economy fully. We must work towards closing this gap and ensuring that women have access to the tools they need to thrive in the digital age.

We must also acknowledge that technology is not neutral and can perpetuate gender biases and inequalities. We must ensure that technological developments are inclusive and address the unique challenges faced by women.

On this International Women's Day, I call on all stakeholders to prioritize the development and implementation of policies and programs that promote digital inclusion and gender equality. Let us embrace the potential of innovation and technology to create a more equitable world for all. Let us DigitALL.
