Honoring the late movie thespian, Mide Martins-Owo traveled to her mother’s church in Ijebu-Ijesha to receive a ‘Posthumous Episcopal Award’ in honor of her mother from Cathedral Church of St. Matthew Ijebu-Ijesha, Osun State.

actress took to her IG page to share a photo of herself holding the
award captioned “POSHUMOUS EPISCOPAL AWARD…..In recognition of the good
memories of my late mother…Late Mrs Oluwafunmilayo Flourence Anike
Martins…. Thank you Cathedral Church of St Mathew Ijebu-Ijesha for this
great honour…. Dear mother, you came and you interacted well…The world
can never forget you and your memories will never be erased…. We all
love you but God loves you more…. Continue to rest in the bossom of God
Almighty Momma!!!”
Late Funmi Martins died from cardiac
arrest in 2002. The respected actress is survived by a son and daughter –
Mide. Until her death, she was an active member of the Cathedral
Church.
