The Njiko Carnival was borne out of a strong desire to invite Nigerians
residing in different parts of the country and the world at large to
have the Igbo cultural experience as part of our National tourism. The
very rich cultural heritage of Ndi Igbo which overtime undoubtedly, is
being eroded and lost, is not only being captured by Njiko Carnival, but
serves as a vehicle for sharing the culture with our sisters and
brothers all over Nigeria and beyond.
The name Njiko meaning Togetherness/ Unity in the Igbo language, was coined as a clarion call to encourage all Nigerians to unite through the medium of Arts and Culture.
As part of activities leading up to the 2nd edition of the annual event,
Mrs Dayo Keshi (DG National Council For Arts and Culture)
Senator Samuel Anyanwu (A Federal LawMaker representing the Imo East Senatorial District)
Sir EN Mbaka (Founder and CEO of Platinum Bank)
My Humble self , Linda Ikeji have endorsed this upcoming event.
