Arsene Wenger today in his press conference confirmed that the clubs are locked in talks but thinks a deal is far from completion at this stage. He however showed optimism that the deal could likely go in favor of the English side.Contrary to rumors that the Frenchman was offered to Borussia Dortmund as part-exchange for the deal with Daily Mail reporting that they are growing frustrated with the Gunners.Wenger also confirmed that Frenchman will not be a part of any potential negotiation to bring the Gabonese attacker. He however assured the Frenchman that he would be allowed to leave once potential replacement arrives at the Emirates stadium. The Frenchman expressed desire that he wants Olivier Giroud to remain at the club.he also made reference to Ozil who is yet to commit his future to the club as he contracts runs out this summer. We are not close enough to be optimistic, but we are not far enough to be pessimistic,” said Wenger. “He behaves like somebody who is completely focused and ready to commit but after that contract negotiations are what they are. “We are not close enough to tell you he will do it, I don’t know.”
