DEBO ADESOGA FOUNDATION (DAF) LIGHTS-UP OKI-IGBODE COMMUNITY, IMOBI

The founder and Chief Executive Officer of Debo Adesoga Foundation (DAF), Prince Adebowale Adesoga popularly known as SHUGAR, has in his usual and unwavering magnanimity donated Solar street lights to the Oki-Igbode community in Imobi, Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun state, Nigeria.

According to SUGAR, the need to provide a timely and lasting solution for lighting-up the community through installation of units of Solar powered lights became necessary after several bitter complaints by members of the community about the usual darkness experienced in the community at night and its security, economic and social implications to them.

SHUGAR, through his DAF Foundation, had earlier embarked on a borehole water project sited near Oki Igbode central mosque, but was truncated by the rocky nature of the spot. The street light is another laudable project from the foundation as a way of restating his commitment to ensuring adequate provision of humanitarian assistance and execution of developmental projects within Ijebu-East local communities, where they are most needed.

On completion of the solar installation, the Baale of Oki-Igbode, Chief Oguntoye, on behalf of the entire community members expressed his sincere appreciation to SUGAR for his generosity. He also used the opportunity to canvass for more support in the form of  developmental projects being sited in Oki-Igbode community, while also making it known that Imobi community will become a major industrial zone in Ogun state and the entire Nigeria in the near future due to presence of abundant human and natural resources in the area.

On their part, youths and elders of the community also expressed their joy; thanking SHUGAR for his benevolence and positive initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of the people in the community, especially through his light-up project which will go a long way in reducing crime, improving social-cultural activities and ultimately, the security in the area. The Light-Up project came at the right time as it added colour to the celebration of 2022 Ileya festival.
