The District Court dismissed in its entirety the charges brought up against Etuhu and his friend, stating that he was not involved in any act of violence against the officials and was only being protective and defensive in nature.
Etuhu, who was delighted with the verdict, briefly told SportExpressen.se;
“This is great news.” AIK Sporting Director, Björn Wesström added: “It is clear that it is good that he will be acquitted. Since there is reason to discuss the situation in view of the events that led to this, we’ll have a meeting.”
Etuhu will now return to full action with AIK, which he helped finish in a Europa League spot in the just concluded season, playing 21 times for the team in the Allsvenskan.
