The final #GoalNGChat of 2015 had as its focus the Goal Nigeria Player of the Year award.
Our followers on Twitter made their choices known, as the race to crown Nigeria's most impressive and influential footballer of 2015 hots up. Ten nominees are in the running, and the net is wide enough that no potential candidates were overlooked.
The 10-man shortlist comprises: Ahmed Musa, Obafemi Martins, Anthony Ujah, Tunde Adeniji, Odion Ighalo, Chinedu Udoji (1/2) #GoalNGChat— Goal.com Nigeria (@GoalcomNigeria) December 17, 2015
There was an overwhelming outpouring of support for front-runner Odion Ighalo, who appears a man on a mission at modest Watford. No one has scored more goals in England in 2015, a fact not lost on the public.Fanendo Adi, Victor Osimhen, Gbolahan Salami and Moses Simon. (2/2) Who is your #GoalNPOTY? #GoalNGChat— Goal.com Nigeria (@GoalcomNigeria) December 17, 2015

#GoalNPOTY. I vote for Ighalo. He'z been exeptional. Transfering champ side form to top isn't easy. #GoalNGChat.— Olatunji J Odunayo (@Tunji_Odunayo) December 17, 2015
@GoalcomNigeria #GoalNGChat Odion Ighalo stands out for me from Championship to Premiership its been goals! goals!! goals!!!— Nwoko Tony Chux (@tonichux) December 17, 2015
There was however one very salient caveat, amidst the love-in...@goalcomnigeria I think Odion Igahlo should be crowned the #GoalNPOTY he has scored lots of important for Watford. #GoalNGChat— WALTZ KING™ (@Essienblaze) December 17, 2015
The inclusion of Fifa U-17 World Cup Golden Boot winner Victor Osimhen raised a few eyebrows...Hmmm. Shouldn't it count against him that he's only played half the year in a top-flight league? #GoalNGChat https://t.co/zVrgKKD9JT— Goal.com Nigeria (@GoalcomNigeria) December 17, 2015
Victor Osimhen in #GoalNPOTY 10-man shortlist?... Haahaha... You gotta be kidding me #GoalNGChat— O L A W A L E (@emcee007) December 17, 2015
...but his prospects appear as bright as any other member of the shortlist, apparently!
@GoalcomNigeria I tink I will go for Victor Osimhen in #GoalNPOTY he score some fantastic goals at d U17 world cup #GoalNGChat— Oge Jenny NwaGunnerz (@oge_jenny) December 17, 2015
There was some acknowledgement of CSKA hitman Ahmed Musa, who is enjoying perhaps his finest individual year at club level, and has stepped into the void left by Vincent Enyeama in the national team.@goalcomnigeria which igalo give it to osimhen the guy did better than all of the big boys @ngsupereagles #goalngchat— salamhabeebkunle (@haybee_4) December 17, 2015
The contributions of Enyimba defender Chinedu Udoji to the club's seventh league title did not go unnoticed either.@goal_intl ahmed musa #GoalNGChat— Lawi (@Lawi_sadiq) December 17, 2015
