Missing businessman Tanveer Iqbal's body found in car boot parked in residential street
A missing businessman’s body has been found in the boot of a car parked in a Birmingham street.
Music store owner Tanveer Iqbal was reported missing at around noon on Monday, the Birmingham Mail reports.
Iqbal had not been seen since closing his shop Hi-Tech Music on Sunday evening.
The
shopkeeper’s body was later found just before 2pm yesterday in the boot

Midlands Police forensics teams cordoned off the area between City Road
and the Ridgeway and the vehicle was taken away for examination. Businessman: Tanveer was last seen closing his shop on Sunday evening
Officers are still combing the area for clues this afternoon, with a post-mortem examination set to take place. Probe: Police investigate the scene where his body was found

Mr Iqbal’s relatives were being supported by specially trained officers.
Det
Insp Paul Joyce, who is leading the investigation, said: “We’re working
around the clock to try and piece together events leading up to this
man’s death.
“Portland Road is likely to remain closed while my team continues to carry out an important forensic examination at the scene.
“If
anyone has any information which they think may assist me with this
investigation, I would urge them to get in touch as soon as they can. Missing: The businessman was last seen on Sunday evening before being found later on Monday
Appeal: Cops now want anyone with any information to come forward
“I am particularly keen to speak to any witnesses who may
have seen Mr Iqbal between closing his shop in Smethwick on Sunday night
and the time he was discovered at lunchtime on Monday.”
