Nigerian video director Clarence Peters robbed Of $60,000 Equipment In Ghana
Top music video director, Clarence Peters has been ROBBED of his production equipment and other belongings estimated at $60,000 in Ghana capital, Accra.
The prolific award-winning video director is currently in Ghana shooting music videos for Stonebwoy, Patoranking and VVIP’s Reggie Rockstone.
Reggie Rockstone, who confirmed the robbery incident while speaking on Accra-based Radio Gold, described it as unfortunate and a big disgrace to Ghana. He also recounted how it had happened, saying the thief had been captured on CCTV.
“Clarence brought his own camera crew, who he has been working with for years and he stayed at Alisa Hotel during the video shoot,” he narrated.
“The CCTV footage caught a young man; neatly dressed, he walked into the room and picked up the bag (of equipments)and walked out. I mean this is the creepiest thing with people still sleeping in the room. Now the footage is not too clear and we don’t know what happened in the room,”
$60,000 at current exchange rate is more than 17million naira. Clarence Peters, who is the founder and CEO of Capital hills Records, a record label that is ‘home’ to Chidinma, Tha Suspect, and Illblis.
According to Reggie, “VVIP, Stonebwoy, Clarence Peters and Patoranking are ready to offer a sum of ten thousand US dollars ($10,000) to anybody who would help to recover the lost items.”
