The 50-year-old athlete-turned-actor showed off his impressive muscles for the May issue and admitted to Men's Health that he nearly lost his wife and children as he spiraled into a 'cult of toxic masculinity' in 2010.
According to him, his wife Rebecca told him she had enough of his ways and was taking their five children and leaving him because of his 'self-destructing' habits.
'I was like, "Wait a minute. I’m successful. I’ve got this and this. I’m living the dream,"' Crews recalled. 'And she was like, "You can have this dream. I’d rather be broke. I’d rather be by myself."'
'I said, "All right, leave. I’ll go get four more girls. I’ll be fine. Everybody thinks I’m great."' This is how men work,' he said. 'We roll in a circle, and that camaraderie doesn’t allow for introspection.'
