The Bayern Munich manager is seeing out the rest of the season with the Bundesliga champions before quitting in May and confirmed yesterday that his next destination will be the Premier League.
The hugely successful Spaniard has won two Bundesliga titles at Bayern and previously swept the board at Barcelona with a trophy haul amounting to 14 pieces of silverware in four years.
“The reason I have not extended my contract is simple. I want to manage in the Premier League,” he said.
“I want to experience the atmosphere in England. I am 44 and it is the right time to go there. I need a new challenge.

But it is understood the Reds already believe Guardiola is going to rivals City at the Etihad and the deal is as good as done and are, therefore, not prepared to challenge the Blues, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Despite stories that Guardiola is set for talks with United's executive vice chairman Ed Woodward to discuss the job at Old Trafford should they call time on Louis van Gaal's troubled spell in charge, the Red Devils are adamant they will stick with the Dutchman and allow City an unobstructed path to Guardiola.
