The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has a well publicised battle with Lyme Disease and despite calling it quits with her husband, he is reported to be "paying a fortune" for her medical bills and has continued to support her.
The Canadian musician sold their Malibu mansion earlier this year and it's believed a "big chunk" of the $27 million price was given to the blonde model.
She just bought a new pad in the swanky Wilshire Corridor area of Los Angeles for $5million, which the source claims was at least part paid for by the money.
While the couple did have a prenuptial agreement, David is said to have given his now ex-wife substantially more than he needed to.
The couple confirmed earlier this month that their marriage was over. Announcing their break up in a joint statement released to PEOPLE.
"Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways. We've shared nine beautiful and joyous years together," they said.
"During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues."
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda, 51, who is battling Lyme disease, was previously married to Gigi's father Mohamed Hadid from 1994 to 2000.

They also have children Bella and Anwar together.
Meanwhile, music producer David, 66, has five children from his three marriages to Linda Thompson, Rebecca Dyer, and B.J. Cook.
Yolanda was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012 and it had been claimed this is one of the reasons their marriage failed.
