One prefers the cobbles, while the other likes the country fields.
But despite starring in rival soaps, brothers Ryan and Adam Thomas have admitted they would "die for each other".
Speaking to OK! magazine as they posed for its cover shoot, the brothers dished all on their strong brotherly bond.
Coronation Street's Ryan, 31, was joined by his adorable seven-year-old daughter Scarlett – who he shares with former partner and fellow Corrie star Tina O'Brien – while his 27-year-old brother Adam brought along his 15-month-old son Teddy.
The Emmerdale star , who has starred as Adam Barton in the beloved soap since 2009, admitted that he and his brothers – the 27-year-old also has a twin brother Scott – used to argue when they were younger.
But the two actors explained they had grown incredibly close since then.
Adam said: "We’re lucky to be brothers who are best friends. We would die for each other," before adding: "We are a close unit."
Meanwhile, Ryan, who has played Jason Grimshaw on Corrie since 2000, is set to leave the much-loved show and revealed he was "scared and exicted" for what the future will hold.
He said: "I’m feeling a mixed bag of emotions as I don’t feel like I know anything else.
"It’s the biggest decision I have ever made in my whole career. I am going to miss my Corrie family so much."
It's unclear what the star will be doing once he quits the show since it was revealed he had been 'dumped' from a Bear Gryll's reality show.
The Mission Survive Show was set to be "great exposure" for Ryan but according to a report producers had concerns over his lifestyle and believed he wouldn't be able to cope with the tasks as he "wasn't in the right state of mind".
The news comes after the 31-year-old was arrested and fined for allegedly being drunk and disorderly after a row broke out at a nightclub in the Lake District.
Ryan was reportedly out with a group of friends back in October at the Wheelhouse Club and Lounge in Bowness-on-Windermere, when trouble sparked.
The 31-year-old has suffered through plenty of highs and lows over the past year.
After being declared bankrupt in 2013 owing £40,000 to the public purse in October 2013, and still on the Insolvency Register, Ryan hit the headlines when he was seen jetting off on holiday six times in the space of this year .
A friend said: “Things aren’t always what they seem. When he’s been on these trips abroad, he’s actually been working on PAs to pay off the debt, which he is committed to doing.
“The trips haven’t cost him a penny and the car isn’t his. From outside it may look quite rosy but the last couple of years have been very tough for Ryan financially.”
Meanwhile, his younger brother Adam is currently happily loved up with the mother of his son, Caroline Daly.
The hunky star also discussed his future with the gorgeous blonde – especially on whether he'd be popping the question any time soon.
He added: "We might have another baby first. When we had Teddy I just thought that would be it but I’d like to have another one now."
